3. Eric Clapton On Lead

This was recorded during the White Album sessions. Lots of tension in the studio.
George felt like the others weren't taking the song seriously enough, so he asked Eric to play on it.
George felt that having Clapton, who was quite the guitar god at the time, participate would add gravity.
It worked because the song is wonderfully executed & Clapton's solo became iconic.
