Any number of apps will run on new iPhones and Android devices. Here's the fly in the ointment:

A 5th generation Kindle Fire has limited usefulness these days. It makes for a terrific RPN calculator, but I can't go online with it before my patience wears thin. Accordingly, I have turned it into a dedicated music server. The signal from the 3.5 mm headphone jack is fed to a pair of input jacks on the back of the Technics receiver.

I sideloaded the software that allows it to run apps from Google Play, but most Google Play apps are too new for it. There are a few sites that specialize in legacy apps, and that's where I find and download the apps for this Kindle Fire. I completely recommend setting an old device as a music server. It is worth every bit of the effort expended.

Some older version of Tune-in will run on it, I'm sure. If I can free up some memory, I can look into it.

I don't know if you were around for the old WHFS, but it was delightful.

Thanks, and once again Merry WHFSmas.
