at the local head shop a few years after. Great show. NYE '84 there was a NPR broadcast. A group of local heads took up a collection to get it on our local community station. (KZUM). Then to top it off a few years later in '87 they played on pay per view which our cable system did not have at the time (PPV). So my great idea was... rent a satellite dish. I contacted a local seller and they said "sure, we can do that" A friend of mine provided the house for the party. I forget what we paid, 300 our so at the time. So the company brings over an " 8' dish" lol and box ready to go. We set up 2 tv/stereo systems. 1 upstairs and 1 down. If I remember right, we had 2 sets of Bose 901's for the sound. Since we were in the central time zone the 2nd set didn't start until 2am. Needless to say we had quite the barnburner of a NYE party. I did get to see them live on NYE '85 as well.
Happy New Years to all.
