His works are not for beginners.

Some musicologist found that the publisher Albert F Marzian wrote ragtimes under the name Mark Janza. Maybe he just wanted it to appear he had clients for his publishing company, or it might have seemed unseemly for an early 20th century music teacher and church organist to write/play ragtime.
