4. Back in 1995, Ian Whitcomb attended a dinner at a restaurant in the Hollywood area, along with myself and others.

There were around 25 of us altogether at the dinner.

We all knew a guy who was at that time promoting "lounge/tiki culture" in the Los Angeles area.

He had a web site I built and maintained called "Lounge Los Angeles."

After the dinner was over, everyone decided to meet at my house in Sierra Madre, just over the eastern border of Pasadena.

Once everyone arrived at the house, Ian broke out his ukelele and played tin pan alley tunes for about 40 minutes in my living room.

It was a very special night for us all!

R.I.P. Ian Whitcomb.
