When someone put this up on YouTube the first time I saw it my first thought was "Oh Hell, another one of those damned hair metal bands."
But this is just straight up rock, no doubt. Their singer, Josh Todd, has the moves and voice to really get a crowd going.
And what a crunchy guitar sound. All Les Pauls, not a Strat or Tele in the bunch. I'm not knocking Fender but this tune screams for LPs and that's what's delivered.
The lyrics are clever and downright thought provoking in places.
I first saw the uncensored version. Lots of luck finding it on YT now. This version is pretty raunchy itself and fun to listen to.
I've never read this before but I've always thought the name Buckcherry might be an homage to Chuck Berry.
Or maybe not. Cool name regardless.
