I often say that there are 3 areas at which a musician can excel that could make them stars:

Voice - This is huge, of course

Skill with an instrument

Song writing.

You need 2 of those to have any shot, but my favorites can do all 3.

This man can do all three

He can do a credible acoustic blues cover too. (Yeah, I'm chasing him around the web a little bit)
