it was the British groups that got young people into the Blues. Eric Burden and the Animals, The Stones, John Mayal, The Yardbirds, Clapton etc. American kids didn't listen to the Blues, and that's a crying shame. The only true American music was snubbed by most Americans.

I'm just glad it's here, and almost everyone knows the roots of the Blues these days. We'll never be able to repay the old Bluesmen who are gone, but their music will live on forever. And for that I'm very grateful.
