I was going to post this after reading it earlier so thanks for posting. I knew his music from way back when because he was part of the Okie musicians making it big out in LA like Leon and Jimmy Webb. I didn't know, however, until reading this how many of the top rock musicians were either influenced by him or downright copied his approach and licks.

People really should check him out. It was a tragic end but he had a really interesting background: father was a well-known Indian artist, mother a musician, and he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in literature. Just couldn't beat the addiction.
