I'm sure that you all have been either taking summer photos or checking your archives, so I'm going to open the summer seasonal photography contest with this thread.

Just some preliminary rules:

Remember, photo submissions must be original work by person who is submitting the photo.

One entry per person, unless host (me for this contest, haha) opens the contest up for additional submissions.

Be sure to title your submission.

Please keep your entry no larger than 1024 pixels in its longest dimension and under 675K in file size and limit photo editing to a reasonable amount. We would prefer your photo look like a photograph instead of a digital design. If you aren’t sure, ask the group in a separate thread. You’ll get plenty of feedback to specific questions.

If you need help posting a photograph or with image sizing, just ask.

Seasonal does not only mean weather, or flowers, so be creative.

Timeline:

September 2: Contest entries start, for a period of one week, unless we get thirty entries sooner.

September 11: The semi-finals start, for a period of three days.

September 14: Finals thread, for a period of three days.

September 17: Announcement of the winners.

I'm looking forward to viewing the submissions.
