you were tourists also ! Tourism is a large industry in AK in the summer months that brings in a lot of $$$ for the state . I am sure you visit other states too as tourists and are being welcomed an appreciated there . So please don't think you should be the only ones enjoying AK's beauty . We love AK , and have never felt overrun any place there ( and we have been in all the places you were there ) and were happy to share them with other travelers at all times .Try to be a little more tolerant of your fellow travelers , and you will have an even better time to enjoy.
