3. There's also good deals on the Panasonic G5 micro 4/3 camera. Adorama, B&H, and Amazon

are reputable dealers.

The strong suit for both the Nikon and Micro 4/3 is lens selection. Weight and size tip the scales to the Panasonic, but sensor size puts the Nikon in the lead. Both will deliver fine images. Still, nothing can replace a big ass kicking sensor like what you see in the Nikon.

Before you buy, try to find one locally so you can pick it up to see if it feels right in your hand. I went Micro 4/3 because of my Arthritis. I needed a light camera I could use with a wrist strap. My experience with Nikons are slim, but the times I handled one, I found it solid and its controls well positioned. It has to feel right in your hand. If it doesn't, you may not like using it and will leave it at home.

$400 is a terrific price, even for a refurb. I've never had a problem with refurbed equipment. Usually they come with fully warranty. If you want to jump up to a DSLR, you can't go wrong with this camera.
