I often look to movies and paintings to inform my photography. [View all]

Tonight I have been looking at Edward Hopper's paintings. I really like his interiors and spare compositions. He's a good person to study in preparation for the longer nights to come. The urban settings, and the sense of isolation makes me think he was influenced by the movies at the time.
