Hopper inspires me so very much, not so much my paltry photography, but in how I look at shapes, placement, subject matter, negative space in just about everything I lay my eyes on.
Toulouse Lautrec does the same thing for my appreciation of all those things, and then, there always is Vincent.

I hope it won't annoy you if I go and find the link to the marvelous run-down of his work in "Starry starry night..." and add it to my response.
I think pointing us to where we can learn to see - by looking at the huge wealth of work by the masters of color/space and presentation of it - is valuable.
