Oh you should go visit it, (and just drive on Rte 66 anyways) - it's not hard to get to, right outside Oro Grande, which has a few huge old antique shops you can spend hours in. Oro Grande is only about 5 miles from Victorville, the big city in those parts. And there's a lot of other things to see around there, too. Just down the road from the Bottle Tree Ranch is an old roadhouse, the Iron Hog. Did you ever see the movie "Erin Brockovich"? The bar scene towards the climax of the movie was filmed there, as was a scene in "Easy Rider". You really get a feeling of going back in time driving around there.
I fell in love with the area when I went there. I was intending to go to Calico that day but never made it, so I went back that way later. And there's so much I still have to see, like Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley... I could go on!

I'm happy you like my blog. I got the idea to start it after I realized that sometimes I have too many pictures I'd like to share that could fit on one post. Sort of an outlet!
