21. i was intimidated

we have some incredible photographers here and i feel like such an amateur in comparison. and, other than cropping, i have no post-processing skills (although i'm to fuss with it in flickr a bit) and feel like i don't have anything refined or "technically" good enough to enter.

or, sometimes, the theme just doesn't appeal to me. i'm a bit apprehensive about actually winning and then hosting a contest (i'd be fine getting a star to be able to do so), but it feels a bit daunting.

the spring contest is only the second one i've entered, i didn't vote for myself last time and i won't vote for myself this time. the public vote doesn't bother me.

but it's been fun for me and i plan on entering regularly now that i've gotten into it

eta: i think there's been a slow down in du participation in general and that might have something to do with it.
