Why I don't post on the photography contests

I'm very aware that anything I care enough about to submit to a contest is something I shouldn't put online anywhere with my real name. I've had DUers who were angry with me try to track down where I work. It's too easy to right click and reverse search a photo nowadays; it didn't use to be that way.

I know it's possible to track any of us down anyway, but the contests and permanent gallery make it ridiculously easy and I'm uncomfortable with that.

Sending this as a private message because I feel like posting this on the forum is basically an invite to anyone to search my old posts in this forum. But feel free to repost this without my name, maybe others will chime in to agree or disagree with this as a reason.
