10. there is no way i could drive pikes peak myself

i wanted to curl up on the floor just being in the passenger's seat. my nightmare scenario was that we'd get to the top and the husband would get altitude sick, so i'd have to take us down. he thought i was being silly with my worries, but he soon realized them himself. he loves driving and does great in the mountains, but he was white-knuckle.

wish i could have spent more time in the garden, but the rain chased us out. i had a hoodie, but the husband didn't and refused to wear the rain jacket i brought for him, so we had to vacate. i was born down there and my mom said the same thing about the yahoos trying to climb the formations.
