I have had early training but technology has managed to get many steps ahead of me since I am a sporadic participant. I think I should have put those photos elsewhere but I am glad you liked them. I was impressed with how they came out, my little camera was a good choice for a novice... the rest is just luck. I happen to live in a place where it doesn't take a whole lot to get lucky though so there's that.

Heads up, before you go, I just posted a poll for themes regarding the Feb photo contest. I have to go to a job interview a couple hundred miles from here on Monday and might be gone a few days myself but I'll be checking in and managing the process during that time.
