7. Photo friends and country men/women

I have internet for a day or so, and I like what I see with the contest developing and suspect I'll have a contribution
I'm in South Africa, I've seen and photographed things I hope to be showing you (no downloading til I get home)
I can't begin to tell you what all I am experiencing and seeing and taking pictures of. But if you bear with me, over time, there will be posts with tales and photos.
I think this is one of the two most exciting trips of my life and I hope to stay nice and safe and make it through the trip home (24 hours Johannesburg -
Washington) so I can maybe take apart segments of it and tell you about it if you like. My fortunate situation is that I'm traveling with and around supportive natives, that even can take me into places like the townships of Apartheid, the slums, the places Americans would call the projects, and one took me into the depth because she lives there and served me tea in her hut from boiled bottled water, where she bathes in a tub twice the size of a dishpan and has no toilet. Here, without being in those protective hands you don't have an assurance to come out alive. But I am in a situation where I'm able to see a segment without worry.
My measly perception of Apartheid, then and now, is undergoing a serious education process.
So - save me a space in the contest - and if not, expect to hear from me with travelogues maybe worth looking at.
