a known problem with a yellow screen tint and any possible solution?

If that isn't available, I'd probably work on some very modest adjustments to my monitor, but that might be limited with a laptop and I don't know if these will work for you.

In Windows 10:
Use Cortana/search to locate the Color Management presets.
I select the "sRGB color space profile" as that looks best to my eye, but there are others offered that may work better for you.

If you have video card driver software (like NVIDEA), there might be other settings that can be adjusted or need to be recalibrated, and sometimes its as simple as just a cleaner gamma correction.

Like I said, color is a big headache.
