Hi Peggy! Beautiful pictures, I think I can help with IDing a few! The first flower picture is a cosmos, the fourth picture the moths with eyespots are probably a type of polyphemus. This fifth picture the yellow flowers are milkweed. I hope that helps. I planted three milkweed plants two years ago when I started my garden when I moved down here and now I have milkweed everywhere, it is, literally, a weed. But monarchs love it, the weeds are crawling with caterpillars (and aphids, unfortunately, but they suck on the milkweed only and leave my other plants alone!

So generally where is the LA Museum of Natural Science? That's one museum I haven't been to yet down here.
