Tore across the acres. My poor husband, on another occasion, might have gotten himself hurt, but didn't. He also decided to walk the Anatolian and, after they escaped me, must've decided to make sure no leash was going to slip out of his hands, as happened to his incompetent wife. All went swimmingly until that one moment when time and space bend... we've all been there. You fall and suddenly you see nothing except the floor and your body in slow motion. All he remembers is the Great White lunging forward, causing him to stumble. But he didn't fall. As the Anatolian charged ahead, her momentum lifted him up. He literally became a 180 lb. kite. He thinks he flew for about 20 feet before crashing down. That would be the last time he walked the Anatolian! You know, they're usually such slow, lumbering critters that one wonders how they could work up the energy to actually do something above and beyond barking an invader away. But one day I was watching them loose in the field. Suddenly, as one, these slow white mountains look off at top speed. I distinctly remember being mesmerized and the thought stayed in my head, they look like trains! Their speed and power I'd never seen before and my only reaction was that I was watching trains! And that's what turned my husband into a kite. You know what, if anyone ever asks you to babysit their Anatolian, by all means, do. They're sweet and great company. Maybe want to think twice about taking one for a walk, though!

Gotta go! Deerie's pecking on the door for his bottle!
