2. SUV driven by missing Cochise County woman found in desert

The SUV taken by a missing St. David woman was found Saturday morning southwest of Picacho Peak.

Deputies have been looking for Mary Black, 86, since last Sunday when she drove away from her
St. David home in a white, 1991 Ford Explorer.

Black, who has dimentia, hasn't driven in at least a decade, but she “frequently went to the vehicle
and sat inside without attempting to leave the area,” Carol Capas, spokeswoman for the
Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, said in a news release. “On one other occasion, Mary Black did
take the vehicle and was located a short distance away in the parking lot of a convenience store.”
