Both major ski areas are gearing up to open after two massive storms dumped
snow in northern Arizona.
Sunrise Park and Resort located in the White Mountains plans to open Friday.
The Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff may set an opening day soon. The Snowbowl
usually opens in mid-December ever year.
The announcement would come on the heels of two storm fronts that moved
through in the first days of December and dumped 13.6 inches of snow in the area.
