There are several Chinese-American owned bus companies on the East Coast which provide cheap bus fare between major cities. They are all commonly referred to as China Buses. These companies had their origins shuttling illegal Chinese restaurant workers from city to city to avoid immigration officials.

They started taking passengers to fill up vacant seats and the bus service was born.
