Still NO WAY TO GET FOOD HERE DAMNIT!
I am fortunate to have a guy I buy food from back east. He'll ship me a good load of FOOD for $100.00 but it takes almost two weeks to get it.
I have a large stash of dry goods and my refrigerator is still abt. 1/2 full. That means it will be abt. empty in a week so I'll have to take the risk in the midst of a spike in cases where I live, which will be undoubtedly be much worse in another week when I'll have to go out and shop.
As for Gov. Newsom, I know a bit abt. his past.
He's from a very wealthy old Irish family from San Francisco which sounds a bit familiar to me, but he's no Jerry Brown by a long shot. Jerry Brown would have never said something like that, something that never seemed to happen to any senior citizens I know of. 
Anyway, you got it right, Calif. is in for one hell of a ride! I suspect those rainy day funds will be or are already a thing of Gov. Brown's past.
