1. There is NOTHING inappropriate about holding that dog that way.

It actually does a bit more to keep the dog comfy than it does to keep the guy safe from a bite, so it's not optimal. But that dog is NOT his pet. It doesn't know him. He could suffer life-altering injuries by holding it like you and I would our own pets.
