6. Well I used to think there was some middle ground

and maybe there used to be. But, in 2009 there was a definite shift. I don't remember Republicans being so rabidly insane before then. I never agreed with them on most social issues. I don't agree with them on fiscal policy either, but on the issue of being as responsible for your actions as possible, yeah that's a good one. That's the the only thing I can think that there might be an overlap now. It's really bad when they vote against health care for 9/11 first responders. There is no going back there is no longer a reason to try to reason with them.
