Republican Gov. Rick Scott's campaign is stepping up one of its lines of attack against Democratic governor candidate Charlie Crist: attempting to link him in voters' minds with President Barack Obama.

Though Obama remains popular with some Democratic voters, the strategy behind the Republican Party of Florida's ads is clear: Lots of other voters are displeased with the Democratic president's performance.

Once Crist had actually touched President Obama, he was contaminated in the eyes of the right wing nuts and dead to Florida Republicans.
