I can think of at least two reasons why he'd visit Key West:

1. He was a passenger on a cruise ship, and figured he could attack someone and slip quietly and anonymously back on board; or
2. Self-loathing.

Either way, he's going to spend time in Trump's justice system, and -- with a heaping helping of Karma -- he'll end up in a for-profit prison.
