I am a huge supporter of a guaranteed basic minimum income. Not only would I personally benefit, depending on how it's set up, but more to the point, people ought to have some basic income. Period. No questions asked.

If I were in charge, here's how I would set it up. Everyone gets a debit card that gets loaded with that amount of money, whatever it is, at the beginning of every month. On the last day of the month it zeroes out. Next day, it's reloaded.

Oh, and also if I were in charge, or as I prefer to say, Dictator of North America, every person in this country would get SNAP (food stamps). Everyone. Regardless of their income or wealth. Another thing that would be loaded on a debit card. Personally, if I got that I'd figure out ways to give it to homeless people. Maybe use it to buy cards at fast food places. Maybe buy food to give to the homeless shelter. Okay, so I'd probably use some of it for myself, because it would be a nice boost to my income.
