They closed down the Lansing Post Office a few years ago so even mail within Lansing has to go to Grand Rapids first to be sorted. Our State Capitol doesn't even have a real post office anymore. I dropped off my ballot on Sunday the 27th and it showed up online as having been received on Monday the 28th.
