1. That's nice. Now how about he makes an effort to include lgbt topics in NYS public school curricula?

There's not a huge amount of $$$ in it, but the state essentially controls what can and can't be taught in NYS public schools. Writing lgbts out of the history books... as is done now, and as the NYS Common Core Standards ( just being adopted... w. Cuomo's wildly enthusiastic support) will do next year , effectively lies to kids by "forgetting" to tell them that lgbt people have existed in US and world history and played a crucial role throughout.

Similarly, The CCS ignores the science re. homosexuality.... leaving kids to fill in the blanks w. superstition and religion .

It's not a big deal: California wrote lgbt topics into the state curriculum and Cuomo and the legislature can do the same in NY.

Again: there's no money to be made....and the NYS govt. seems to be strictly pay-for-play so maybe we won't see action on this front anytime soon in our Empire State.
