Polls Shows Spitzer Continues To Lead In Comptroller Race [View all]

NY1News

A pair of polls show that Eliot Spitzer still has a lead in his bid for the city comptroller's office – but according to one survey, challenger Scott Stringer is well within striking distance.

The latest Quinnipiac survey shows that among likely Democratic primary voters, it's 49 percent for Spitzer and 45 percent for Scott Stringer. Six percent don't know or aren't answering.

Another poll shows Spitzer doing better, if only because many likely primary voters are still undecided.

The NBC 4 New York/Wall Street Journal/Marist Poll shows that among likely voters, Spitzer has 48 percent to Stringer's 36 percent, with 14 percent not sure.
