Lieutenant governor candidate Tim Wu says Paterson insults are sign of 'desperation' [View all]

ERIN DURKIN

Lieutenant governor candidate Tim Wu said it's a sign of "desperation" that former Gov. David Paterson is attacking his fitness for the job.

"It reveals desperation," said the liberal law professor who is taking on Gov. Cuomo's running mate Kathy Hochul, speaking at a breakfast before Brooklyn's West Indian Day Parade.

"I'm going to do a lot more than David Paterson did in that job," said Wu, noting Paterson's crack that his only job was to call Gov. Eliot Spitzer in the morning and go back to bed if Spitzer answered.
