U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand due to appear on 'The Daily Show' (Tonight!) [View all]

Washington -- U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, fresh off a visit to a Madison County farm, is due to appear on "The Daily Show" tonight for the third time in her brief Senate career.

Gillibrand, D-N.Y., is scheduled to sit down for a chat at 11 p.m. with the show's summer guest host, John Oliver, on cable network Comedy Central.

It will be Gillibrand's first appearance on the show since the Democratic National Convention in September 2012. In that appearance she talked with host Jon Stewart about the importance of the women's vote and increasing the number of women serving in Congress.
