Security company donates surveillance camera to watch over Jackie Robinson statue in Coney Island [View all]

CONEY ISLAND, BROOKLYN (PIX11) – Lights shine down on the Jackie Robinson statue in Coney Island, but surveillance cameras are nowhere to be found.

Earlier this week, Swastikas and racial slurs were discovered on the statue.

Now, with a little help from a New York based private security firm EIA Inc., a camera will keep a watchful eye on Robinson to the delight of Brooklynites who revere his statue.

Surveillance cameras, more like surveillance anything, has been under intense scrutiny since Edward Snowden leaked details of the NSA’s secret programs.
