There are 6 Democrats running to defeat the Paul Ryan protegee (Elise Stefanik) who holds the House seat now. I remember when the Democrats didn't even bother to field a candidate in this district, but there were originally 10 this time around! I think I mentioned it before, but there have been frequent protests at her local office - and she doesn't publicize her schedule until after the fact because protesters show up wherever she goes. I have a strong preference for the candidate who's closest to my neck-of-the-woods, all the rest are from up north (where President Obama visited), but I'll vote in the general for whoever takes her on!
And President Clinton attracted a huge crowd when he visited in 2006 - so I have no doubt that President Obama would get a huge reception - which may be why he made the little publicized visit way up north!
