Dolphin stuck in Coney Island creek [View all]

CONEY ISLAND (WABC) -- Rescue divers are on the scene where a dolphin has become stuck in a creek in Brooklyn.

The rescue operation is underway near Bay 54th street and Cropsey avenue in Coney Island.

The NYPD is helping free the dolphin from the creek where it is swimming in circles.

A bystander reported seeing the dolphin in distress just after 11:00 a.m. Officials say the dolphin swam into Coney Island Creek about 3/4 mile during high tide
