they're asking people to show up at Moore Square at 4pm in solidarity.
the first hand story of what happened yesterday is at lovewins.info, but the page is apparently overwhelmed. i did access it yesterday. these people have been doing this every saturday and sunday for about 6 years, and yesterday the RPD told them if they tried, they would be placed under arrest.
to get a permit it's $800 - every day. the police also told them that the permit would probably be denied.
big money doesn't want raleigh to look as if people are going hungry, maybe?
