4. I gave up on the North Carolina Dem organization a long time ago.

I tried to be active with my local party, but the pettiness and inefficiencies were more than I could bear. I ended up doing most of my volunteering with Democracy NC, which worked great since my values align very closely with theirs. But it makes me sad that the NC Dems are STILL so dysfunctional. Maybe they need to fail completely so we can rebuild from ground up. But the state Republicans are so bizarre and hard right these days, it worries me that by the time we get it together, it will be to late. If it is not too late already.
