Governor candidate Ed Fitzgerald choses Sen. Eric Kearney as 2014 running mate [View all]

State Senator Eric Kearney, minority leader in the Ohio senate, has been chosen by Democratic candidate for governor Ed. Fitzgerald as his running mate. If elected, Sen. Kearney would become lieutenant governor in a Fitzgerald administration.
A Cincinnati native, Sen. Kearney graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and Dartmouth College. His Juris Doctor is from the University of Cincinnati Law school.
Sen. Kearney was appointed to the Ohio Senate in 2005 to fill the unexpired term of Mark Mallory, who had been elected Mayor of Cincinnati. He won election in Nov. 2006 and 2010.
