When my local bookstore shut down, I ordered from Powell's. There was a notice telling me to expect delays. OK, keep your workers safe - I understand. My books will arrive when they arrive. I can always re-read. However, I am glad for the workers who get to keep their jobs and benefits.

But what I don't understand is this - why is it necessary to keep gun stores open (I'm assuming law enforcement is able to get the supplies that are needed) but bookstores are not considered an "essential service"? They are to me.
