... these days, when we need to get a grass roots effort going to fix our corrupt system of government that is everywhere. Those at the local level need to help represent us in that change, even if many of these are "non-partisan" offices in schools, etc. You need to help good people build experience to get to the congressional level later and be better representatives there. When a rock solid guy like Pete Defazio retires, we need someone to step up that can do what he did and not be a "tool".

We also need to make sure our government is well funded in these times too, so a lot of ballot measures to consider as well.
