We are thinking of relocating to Oregon in the next 2-3 years. Want to be within shouting distance [View all]

or Portland (1-2 hours?) in a liberal mellow community that isn't all families. Just starting to think on this, thought I'd check with knowledgeable DUers. Can't imagine living among Republican right wingers, gun humpers, survivalists, etc. Any ideas? What about Bend?
