PA. Supreme Court Passes the Buck Down to Lower Court Judge to Decide Upon Voter ID [View all]

The decision appears to open the door to delaying the implementation of PA. voter ID law until after the Nov. election. In a 4-2 decision, the Supreme Court gave the Commonwealth Court judge specific directives to stop the implementation of the law if he feels that voters are having difficulties getting proper ID in time for the election. This is the same Commonwealth Court judge who previously upheld the law, but expressed reservations.
