2. Civil War got worse - dead fish and meanness to an 84 year widow

The attack ads by the PA. Republican Senate Campaign Committee against teabagger Scott Wagner have gotten even worse. The York Dispatch had a new article about them, but it is not available online. The Repubs ran film of dead fish and accused Wagner of environmental violations as part of his waste businesses. Wagner said the violations were paperwork errors.

Then they ran a commercial accusing Wagner of being mean to an 84 year old by suing her because she didn't pay her garbage bills. "Shame on Millionaire Trashman Scott Wagner for suing an elderly widow for services she didn't use. She wanted to enjoy her later years until life was turned upside down" by Millionaire Trashman Scott Wagner. The ad accuses Wagner of being a "bully" and that voters should "Stand up for Clara" by voting for Wagner's Republican opponent.

Some of the Republicans interviewed for the news article said they are making Wagner into a martyr because of the harshness and "bad taste" of the Republican ads. Wagner's Republican opponent claims he has nothing to do with the ads. It appears to be a personal vendetta between Wagner and the Republican Senate leadership.
