For 3 years I had no insurance. UPMC has a great free clinic that I got my health care & medications at no cost including the 2 injectables I am currently using

Last year a rep from the YWCA was at the clinic and did the paperwork with me & we found I was eligible for medical assistance.

I chose a UPMC plan & chose the doctor who oversaw the residents who volunteered. I had also met with her & figured the continuity of care would be assured, and it has.

As an aside how I found the clinic was because of Planned Parenthood. I went to PP because of a terrible infection. I found out that the yeast infection was because the sugar in my urine was causing it. PP gave me a list of clinics.

Planned Parenthood saved my life .
