1. This could be a challenge for Democrats

I want to be optimistic about this. According to the comments on the WaPo article, Charlie Dent was going to be "primaried" by wacko Tea Party assholes as thanks for his 30 years of service. If that's true (it sounds legit), then Dent decided it wasn't worth it and it's time to cash in his chips.

So Democrats have a chance to take an important R seat in Congress next year, but it's sure to be a nasty fight in a gerrymandered district. The GOP will put up some unknown Tea Party asshole (apparently) so any anti-Trump feelings could work in the Democrat candidate's favor. The district is in eastern PA, north of Philadelphia and south of Allentown.

Remember Katie McGinty and Pat Toomey last year? It will be like that - on steriods!
